• Knowledge of industrial robots, machinery, electrical and fluid mechanics, electronics, and modeling/drawing software required.
• Minimum three (3)+ years of software programming background required.
• Experience in Python, C#, and LabVIEW preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers functioning software for cameras, bar code readers, and lighting on precision manufacturing robotic equipment.
• Delivers an on-time, complete, and accurate design and documentation package to meet customer’s specifications.
• Designs and develops machine documents, custom software, and generates full bill for parts prior to Engineering Cross Review.
• Reviews sales orders, interprets engineering needs, and develops questions for customer response to ensure machine is designed based on needs, budget, and timeframe.
• Partners with engineering, sales, and production to develop project schedule that includes a release date for sufficient manufacturing and production time.
• Monitors project to ensure that goals and customer expectations are met.
• Participates in peer review to assess and ensure design meets the needs of the customer and company.
• Partners with purchasing department to order parts for on-time delivery.
• Interprets safety codes so that equipment meets specifications on every design.
• Diagnoses machine failures and responds to customer service issues, as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of customer information.
