About The Position

The Software Engineer position within the PyTorch Domains team focuses on advancing machine learning technologies and community engagement through the development and maintenance of the TorchAudio library. This role involves leading high-impact projects that intersect machine learning, PyTorch development, and community initiatives, contributing to the growth of the PyTorch ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Research experience in machine learning or digital signal processing.
• Programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Experience with architectural patterns of large scale software applications.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A PhD in AI, digital signal processing, computer science, data science, or related technical fields.
• First author publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, ICCV, and ACL) or DSP conferences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to high-impact projects at the intersection of ML, PyTorch development and community engagement.
• Develop and maintain TorchAudio, the industry standard for working with audio data in PyTorch.
• Initiate and grow new projects and communities within the PyTorch ecosystem.

Benefits

• $85.10/hour to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
• Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
