Your Impact: The Software Engineer Professional will be a key member of the Automation team within Freddie Mac’s Internal Audit division. This role will collaborate with stakeholders to develop, enhance, and implement automation and data analytics solutions to support control testing automation. The developer will be responsible for understanding and implementing requirements, ensuring code quality and best practices, and communicating progress and challenges promptly.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience performing data analytics using R, Python, and/or SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience using DevOps (CI/CD) Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Spinnaker, Cucumber JS unit testing library.
  • 2+ years of experience in database technologies - Snowflake, Postgres, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux command-line tools and Git for version control.
  • Experience in source code management, repository management and package. management with tools such as JFrog Artifactory, Bitbucket, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams, including technical developers and business stakeholders.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Detail-driven with respect to documentation and able to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Exhibits independent judgment, strong problem solving, deep analytical ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks and test controls.
  • Ability to operate as a self-motivated, pro-active, and result-driven problem solver with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
