We are looking for strong Software Engineer Professional (Appian + Java) Our Impact: Members on our team are highly skilled developers with a proven track record of supporting audit and risk management teams at Freddie Mac. The team plays a meaningful role by leveraging automation to transform traditional end-user computing use cases into streamlined technology-driven workflows that leverage Appian BPMs platform. Our team collaborates with the Internal Audit stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that allow continuous monitoring, improve decision making, and enable combined assurance. Your Impact: The Software Engineer Professional will be a key member of the Automation team within Freddie Mac’s Internal Audit division. This role will collaborate with stakeholders to develop, enhance, and implement automation and workflows for Audit Methodology and Standards. The developer will be responsible for understanding and implementing requirements, ensuring code quality and best practices, and communicating progress and challenges appropriately.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent education and work experience. Work towards advanced studies/degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience implementing workflows and complex solutions leveraging Appian BPM.
  • 2+ years of experience using DevOps (CI/CD) Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Spinnaker, Cucumber JS unit testing library.
  • 2+ years of experience in database technologies – DB2, Snowflake, Postgres, etc.
  • Strong prior hands-on experience with tools such as Java, Spring boot, APIs, JFrog Artifactory, Bitbucket, and Kubernetes.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux command-line tools, and on-premises Appian set up.
  • Familiar working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams, including technical developers and business stakeholders.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Detail-driven with respect to documentation and able to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Exhibits independent judgment, strong problem solving, and ability to identify gaps in the current requirements.
  • Ability to operate as a self-motivated, proactive, and result-driven problem solver with interpersonal skills.
  • Quick learner of new technologies, tools, and concepts.
  • Maintain positive attitude, be flexible, and always be a team player.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate progress and challenges in a timely manner.
