The Mapping team at Zoox Perception is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge computer vision (CV) and machine learning (ML) models that are essential for creating highly accurate HD maps. These maps are crucial for enabling autonomous vehicles to navigate complex environments safely and reliably. As a member of this innovative team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing sophisticated models and algorithms that predict various elements of HD maps. This includes working with 3D or orthographic visual feature representations and utilizing multisensor fusion techniques to enhance the accuracy of the maps. In this role, you will focus on identifying and predicting key elements such as traffic lights, signs, lanes, curbs, and dividers, along with their 3D structures and the topological relationships that exist between them. We are seeking engineers who are not only ambitious but also passionate about contributing to a technically challenging and safety-critical product that has the potential to change the world. Your responsibilities will include training and developing state-of-the-art HD map prediction models, creating algorithms and ML models for sensor fusion, and developing tools for data mining, dataset building, and dataset analysis. Additionally, you will write on-vehicle software for model inference and post-processing of model results. Collaboration with the Mapping team will be essential to automate the map creation process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our mapping solutions.
