About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer-Other - Intermediate to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering concepts, system design, application development, and operational stability. This role requires hands-on experience with modern programming languages, cloud services, and agile methodologies.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 4+ years of applied experience.
• Proficiency in Java and experience with ReactJS for front-end development.
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more programming languages.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies.
• Practical experience with AWS services is highly preferred.
• Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
• Experience with micro frontend UI technologies such as ReactJS, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to design and develop highly scalable, resilient, and low-latency applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications with a focus on operational stability.
• Implement and debug code using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices patterns.
• Develop event-based architectures and ensure system scalability and resilience.
• Work with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases for data management and querying.
• Utilize Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to ensure high-quality code.
• Leverage AWS services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, MSK, SNS, API Gateway, Step Functions, and storage services.
• Collaborate across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver robust solutions.
• Adopt agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
