About The Position

The Software Engineering team in Deer Park, IL is looking for a Software Engineer with passion for learning, developing high quality software, solving complex problems, and becoming part of a smart and innovative team. This role is to work on-site at Deer Park, IL office with some hybrid flexibility. The position involves design, implementation, testing, and deployment of software components for Teradyne's family of Automatic Test Equipment. The candidate will create robust designs with a focus on scalability, high performance, and maintainability, and will work with software engineers to design, document, and execute effective test strategies and plans. The role also includes conceiving and implementing fully functional and high performing software solutions, tackling difficult problems, and participating in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas to improve the product, process, and team.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of practical software development experience
  • Able to clearly express ideas and concepts both written and verbally
  • Driven to get the job done and are not afraid to really commit, and go above and beyond to do it
  • Experience with C, C++, C# and .NET development
  • Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with development tools: Visual Studio, ClearCase/Git
  • Experience with Software development lifecycles, Agile and follow CMMI best practice
  • Hardware knowledge and prior ATE experience is a plus
  • Co-op or internship experience a plus
