Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Experience in development, testing, and deployment of backend services, APIs.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Experience or interest in working on large-scale distributed systems.
Ability to code in Go or similar language.

Responsibilities

Design and scale a mission-critical backend orchestration system written entirely in Go, ensuring the reliable delivery of networking infrastructure at Google scale.
Architect and evolve APIs and distributed dataflow systems, specifically addressing the issues of managing long-running asynchronous workflows.
Optimize data synchronization within directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) to support the end-to-end delivery of various networking products.
Collaborate directly with internal engineering partners to gather requirements, provide technical leadership on system integrations, and improve the developer experience.
