Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in development, testing, and deployment of backend services, APIs.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience or interest in working on large-scale distributed systems.
  • Ability to code in Go or similar language.

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale a mission-critical backend orchestration system written entirely in Go, ensuring the reliable delivery of networking infrastructure at Google scale.
  • Architect and evolve APIs and distributed dataflow systems, specifically addressing the issues of managing long-running asynchronous workflows.
  • Optimize data synchronization within directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) to support the end-to-end delivery of various networking products.
  • Collaborate directly with internal engineering partners to gather requirements, provide technical leadership on system integrations, and improve the developer experience.
