About The Position

We are looking for a software engineer with expertise in developing autonomous vehicle solutions for the mining industry. You will develop an intelligent onboard vehicle solution working on or with perception, planning, ML, and other teams to develop an autonomous mining vehicle stack. In addition to your engineering contributions, by working in our dynamic and customer-focused team culture, you will contribute to and learn from best practices in the nascent autonomy industry. Requirements

• Experience developing autonomous vehicle solutions for off-road vehicles
• Experience with the end-to-end development cycle of deep learning models
• Expertise in subdomains such as modeling, input pipelines, evaluation, deployment, and model optimization
• 3+ years of experience building production software using modern software practices
• Fluency in C++, or fluency in Python with intermediate experience in C++

Nice To Haves

• Publications in computer vision, NLP, or robotics
• Experience with driver assistance or autonomous driving systems
• Experience in evaluating and improving system-in-the-loop model performance

Responsibilities

• Prototype, evaluate, refine, and deploy state-of-the-art ML algorithms and solutions for mining use cases
• Leverage established products at Applied Intuition to build the software and infra foundation for behavior-specific ML development
• Tightly collaborate with perception and planning engineers on many cross-team initiatives
