As a engineer, you'll be joining our growing Aurora Software and Digital Engineering department which has 200+ Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. Software Engineers frequently get into informal (example: Subject Matter Expert) and formal technical leadership roles within their programs, as applicable and per interest. We have plenty of opportunities for career advancement into higher level technical roles or leadership positions. Our Software Department is part of a larger organization that includes Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test staff as well as a Hardware Engineering unit. This larger organization influences cross-program collaboration, professional development and training, as well as engagement and inclusion activities such as lunch-n-learns, campus events, and leadership mixers.

Requirements

  • Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relative experience; Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relative experience.
  • Level 4: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relative experience; Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 6+ years of relative experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at time of application.
  • Must be willing to submit and pass a CI Poly after starting work.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and Git for version control.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Go/C++
  • Experience with Kubernetes/Docker
  • Experience with AWS

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain secure software solutions in a classified environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and optimize software performance.
  • Maintain code quality and ensure code reviews are conducted regularly.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Support application deployment and sustainment in physical and virtual landscapes.
