Lockheed Martin is seeking Software Engineers interested in supporting System Build Infrastructure. This position is critical to the automation and configuration framework, system integration and software build process in support of several programs. This position will be responsible for supporting a software development team achieve the following: - Integrate, support, and debug software deliveries - Design and develop automation utilities - Troubleshoot and Support CI/CD build Pipelines - Develop build automation infrastructure - Develop and maintain automated tools - Attend and participate in daily scrums, sprint reviews and technical demos. - Evaluate impediments and provide support for teams when issues arise Must be a US Citizen. Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience programming in Python
  • Experience with the Linux/Unix command line
  • Experience with software configuration management tools (Git, Artifactory, Nexus)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with GitLab CI/CD; can run pipelines, create basic jobs, and resolve common failures.
  • Experience building and running Docker containers; basic awareness of Kubernetes concepts and limited hands‑on deployment.
  • Understanding of core object‑oriented principles and can write class‑based code under guidance.
  • Capable of developing small to medium‑sized modules with reusable code patterns.
  • Knowledge of the code compilation process and its stages.
  • Good problem‑solving skills; can debug and improve scripts with assistance.
  • Effective communicator; collaborates well within a team.
  • Ability to assist in converting legacy scripts (e.g., Perl) to readable Python code.
