About The Position

Markon is seeking a Software Engineer – Level 1 to support the development and integration of AI/ML-enabled and high-performance software systems in a modern cloud environment for the Fort Meade Customer. The Software Engineer will contribute to building scalable, efficient, and mission-focused applications that support large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 7 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in AI/ML software development or integration.
Experience using Terraform to provision and manage AWS infrastructure.
Proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Go.
Experience developing high-performance or GPU-accelerated applications.
Experience with large-scale streaming data analytics systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced development environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and integrate software components supporting AI/ML applications and services.
Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform in AWS environments.
Design, develop, and optimize software using C++, Python, and/or Go (Golang).
Support development of high-performance and GPU-enabled applications.
Contribute to large-scale streaming data analytics systems, including data ingestion and processing pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software design, testing, and deployment.
Document software designs, interfaces, and implementation details.
