About The Position

This Software Engineer Lead position is within PNC's Asset Management Group organization and is based remotely in the state of Michigan. The role may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval, requiring work from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. The role involves creating and leading the technical design and development of software solutions, proposing and designing solutions for complex business needs, preparing technical and procedural documentation, facilitating complex problem resolution, providing technical guidance to colleagues, and reviewing coding, testing, and software documentation. Employees are expected to be customer-focused, understanding and leveraging customer needs for customized solutions, and managing risk effectively in adherence to PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience (or a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience, including military service).

Responsibilities

  • Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Facilitates complex problem resolution.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
  • Be Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Be Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
