As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Asset Management Group organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. As a Software Engineer Lead, you will be part of an Agile engineering team where you will be responsible for technical design and development within our Asset Management line of business. Additionally, you will work with our testers to address bugs or defects and propose & design solutions. This position would require fluidity and flexibility, as this is not a role with specific guidelines where you will perform the same tasks on a day to day basis. As a Software Engineer Sr, you will also be responsible for serving as a mentor for other members of the team. Due to the nature of this position we are seeking passionate Software Engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • University / college degree or a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service).

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of modern, scalable web applications using .NET 6/.NET Core and ASP.NET, with a focus on Blazor or MVC frameworks to deliver rich, interactive user experiences.
  • Lead implementation and communication of backend services and RESTful APIs, ensuring code quality and reliability through comprehensive unit testing with NUnit or MSTest.
  • Mentor and guide a high-performing engineering team, championing best practices in agile development, code reviews, and full-stack delivery within a Microsoft-based technology ecosystem.
  • Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Facilitates complex problem resolution.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
