The Netflix Performance Engineering team is at the forefront of performance optimization and efficiency improvements within the engineering organization. We are seeking a talented full-stack software engineer to join our team, which is dedicated to developing industry-leading performance observability and analysis tools. Our team has pioneered extensive profiling and eBPF-based tracing tools, such as FlameCommander, and is committed to building cutting-edge observability, visualization, and analytics tooling. This role is crucial as we strive to maintain our reputation as a world leader in Performance Engineering, ensuring that Netflix consistently delivers the best performance to its customers. In this position, you will be responsible for building, enhancing, and operating performance observability tools, data analysis and visualization tools, and benchmarking tools. You will have the opportunity to learn, evaluate, and integrate new tools and technologies that can further enhance our capabilities. Engaging with performance engineers and end engineering users will be a key part of your role, as you will need to understand their needs and work towards improving their experience. Maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional teams through clear communication will also be essential to your success in this role. As a member of the Performance Engineering team, you will be involved in some of the most challenging problems and critical projects, pushing the boundaries of performance and resiliency.
