Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in designing and maintaining high-scale, mission-critical cloud-based production systems.
  • Proficiency in a modern programming language with familiarity in best coding practices.
  • Extensive experience in RESTful API design and development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a non-standard schedule, including on-call rotations during weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own backend product capabilities for the identity platform, including API surfaces and core authentication flows.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable distributed services while optimizing for security, latency, and developer experience.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to translate customer needs into technical plans and deliver impactful features.
  • Align architecture with various teams and integrate platform capabilities to enhance collaboration and unblock initiatives.
  • Drive technical decisions, author design documentation, and conduct code reviews to ensure quality of output.
  • Tackle complex problems through innovative solutions and adopt new technologies when beneficial.
  • Improve production quality through robust observability and incident response measures.
  • Mentor fellow engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
