Requirements

6+ years of experience in designing and maintaining high-scale, mission-critical cloud-based production systems.
Proficiency in a modern programming language with familiarity in best coding practices.
Extensive experience in RESTful API design and development.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work on a non-standard schedule, including on-call rotations during weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Build and own backend product capabilities for the identity platform, including API surfaces and core authentication flows.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable distributed services while optimizing for security, latency, and developer experience.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to translate customer needs into technical plans and deliver impactful features.
Align architecture with various teams and integrate platform capabilities to enhance collaboration and unblock initiatives.
Drive technical decisions, author design documentation, and conduct code reviews to ensure quality of output.
Tackle complex problems through innovative solutions and adopt new technologies when beneficial.
Improve production quality through robust observability and incident response measures.
Mentor fellow engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
