About The Position

In support of our customer, we are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in supporting (DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/principles/organizational protocols). Job Duties: Developing, testing, and maintaining secure software solutions in compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. Implementing secure coding practices that follow the Software Development Lifecycle to ensure alignment with applicable risk management and cybersecurity frameworks. Developing, reviewing, and updating SEPs and program-specific annexes. Supporting Systems Engineering and Configuration Management activities by providing basic Development Security Operations expertise and data integration to support IMS development and maintenance, as well as ensuring cross-functional awareness of key engineering events and dependencies. Supporting WIPTs; collaborating with stakeholders to define and maintain strategies; and providing input to align user requirements with system specifications and RTMs. Drafting, staffing, and submitting CDRLs for Government review. General responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering or scientific work in a project or performs work that involves conventional engineering or scientific practices. Typical work may include research, development, design, testing, logistics, analysis, production, maintenance, operation, planning, estimating, application, or standardization of engineering facilities, systems, structures, software applications, firmware, processes equipment, devices, or materials. Generates specifications or plans to support the development of acquisition documentation. Supports technical findings, opinions or recommendations. Performs customer liaison, makes presentations and attends customer meetings. consults with stakeholders on technical applications to support program management decisions.

Requirements

  • BS / BA Diploma Required
  • Up to 2 Years Experience Related to Acquisition Competency/Task
  • DON Correspondence Manual (SECNAVINST M 5216.5), MCO 5216.20B, the GPO Style Manual, as well as any published PM templates and/or Style Guides.
  • Familiarity with DON Correspondence Manual (SECNAV M-5216.5), MCO 5216.20B HQMC Supplement to the DON Correspondence Manual, GPO Style Manual, Marine Corps Records Management 5210.11F, and the MAG.
  • Minimum Clearance Required: SECRET with the ability to obtain TS when Need to Know is required.

  • CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC); Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), OR GIAC Secure Software Programmer (GSSP)
