Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related major.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire.
  • Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong C++, Java and Object-Oriented Programming skills.
  • Solid Linux/UNIX background.
  • Working knowledge of software engineering best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Good self-management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Apply skills to a meaningful project in a team environment working alongside a technical mentor.
  • Research, provide analysis, and offer solutions relating to the functional project.
  • Contribute to project planning.
  • Read, understand and improve existing C++/Java code.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend areas for optimization.
  • Determine and examine alternative solutions to functional project if applicable.
  • Document project overview and solution summary.
