About The Position

We are hiring a Software Engineer Intern to be involved in development & design of the features related to AI/ML for NetApp’s flagship storage operating system ONTAP. ONTAP is a feature rich stack with its rich data management capabilities that has tremendous value to our customers and are used in mission critical applications across the world. You will work as part of a team responsible for the development, testing and debugging of distributed software that drives NetApp cloud, hybrid-cloud and on-premises solutions. As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, supportability, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market. Software engineers focus on enhancements to existing products as well as new product development. This is an opportunity for an intern that requires an individual to be systems-focused, creative, team-oriented, technologically savvy, able to work in a small and large cross-functional teams, willing to learn and driven to produce results.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in an educational or professional program through summer 2026 or later

Responsibilities

Be involved in development & design of the features related to AI/ML for NetApp’s flagship storage operating system ONTAP
Work as part of a team responsible for the development, testing and debugging of distributed software that drives NetApp cloud, hybrid-cloud and on-premises solutions
Work closely with a highly talented team on Disaggregated Storage project
Adapting GenAI to enhance quality and improve efficiency and performance
