About The Position

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and technically curious Software Engineer Intern to join the PdL Shared Software (SSW) team. In this role, the intern will contribute to building scalable, high-quality software solutions that support foundational platform capabilities across PdL. Working alongside experienced engineers, the intern will help design, develop, and troubleshoot code, participate in agile ceremonies, and gain hands-on experience with modern development practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn, collaborate in a fast-moving environment, and make meaningful contributions to products used across the organization.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Foundational knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
  • Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively seek feedback.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of software components, internal tools, and shared services used across PdL.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical debt.
  • Contribute to documentation, onboarding guides, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand requirements and deliver features that support multiple product teams.
  • Explore opportunities to improve developer workflows, automation, and system performance.
