Role We are looking for a Software Development Engineer Intern to join our team in a hybrid capacity in San Jose, CA, reporting to the VP Software Development within the Engineering department. The core purpose of a Software Development Intern is to support the engineering lifecycle by writing clean, maintainable code and assisting in the deployment of scalable software features. By collaborating with senior developers on real-world applications, you help accelerate product delivery and enhance the overall user experience, directly contributing to the team's technical innovation and operational goals.

Requirements

Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Engineering
Ability to develop software modules using languages like Python, Rust and Java
Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
Motivated self-starter with a passion for innovation and technology

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, particularly regarding serverless functions or containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) or back-end web frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Django, Spring Boot), demonstrating the ability to work across the entire application stack

Responsibilities

design, build, and ship software features using a modern AI-native development workflow.
Identify, track, and resolve software defects discovered during testing or reported by users to improve application stability and performance
Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, maintain code quality, and foster a culture of continuous learning within the engineering team
Develop automated tests to validate the integrity of new code, ensuring that deployments do not introduce regressions into the existing system
