Role We are looking for a Software Development Engineer Intern to join our team in a hybrid capacity in San Jose, CA, reporting to the VP Software Development within the Engineering department. The core purpose of a Software Development Intern is to support the engineering lifecycle by writing clean, maintainable code and assisting in the deployment of scalable software features. By collaborating with senior developers on real-world applications, you help accelerate product delivery and enhance the overall user experience, directly contributing to the team's technical innovation and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Engineering
  • Ability to develop software modules using languages like Python, Rust and Java
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for innovation and technology

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, particularly regarding serverless functions or containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) or back-end web frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Django, Spring Boot), demonstrating the ability to work across the entire application stack

Responsibilities

  • design, build, and ship software features using a modern AI-native development workflow.
  • Identify, track, and resolve software defects discovered during testing or reported by users to improve application stability and performance
  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, maintain code quality, and foster a culture of continuous learning within the engineering team
  • Develop automated tests to validate the integrity of new code, ensuring that deployments do not introduce regressions into the existing system
