About The Position

The Software Engineer Intern (SaaP) position is designed for engineering students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in software development within the medical device industry. The intern will assist in various stages of product development, including design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting of software applications. This role provides an opportunity to work on real-world engineering projects and develop skills in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Current college student majoring in Computer Science or related fields, entering their Sophomore, Junior, Senior year, or pursuing a Master's degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Ability to program in C, C++, MATLAB, Python, or any high-level programming language.
• Ability to read, write, and understand software design documents and software requirements documents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and follow-through skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship experience is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with technologies like Cloud, AI, and ML.

Responsibilities

• Assist Software Engineering with design, development, and verification of medical devices.
• Perform unit tests and integration tests, and document analysis results.
• Write test plans and reports.
• Program, code, and develop software applications, and test applications while documenting the design.
• Perform troubleshooting tasks in simple to complex software applications.
• Prototype software applications and user interface designs.
• Detect manual steps in current workflow and automate for efficiency.
