About The Position

Gundersen Health System is looking to add a Software Engineer to our growing Integration and Automation team. Be a part of revolutionizing healthcare technology! This position is full-time, with 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE), scheduled Monday-Friday during the day. The role is located onsite in Onalaska, Wisconsin, but has the ability to shift to a remote basis limited to residents of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B) is not available for this position. We have the ability to fill this opportunity as a Software Engineer or Senior level Software Engineer depending on your relevant work experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in a variety of programming languages and integration platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of systems design.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing and building Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and cloud-native solutions.
• Experience with various backends including data lakes, relational databases, and API technologies (REST or GraphQL).
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum framework.
• Experience with CI/CD Systems, Azure DevOps, Github Actions, Jenkins.
• Testing experience (Jest, Playwright, Pytest, Junit, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Liaise with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define requirements.
• Deliver high-quality solutions in partnership with a Product Owner.
• Demonstrate leadership on small to mid-scale projects.
• Work as part of an agile organization or team.
