About the role: We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and own the design, deployment, and management of container orchestration systems at scale. You’ll work across both our multi-tenant cloud and customer-hosted deployments, supporting high-impact government and defense projects. You’ll collaborate with engineers, security teams, and DevSecOps specialists to make our infrastructure reliable, secure, and automated. In this role, you’ll:

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years managing Kubernetes-based infrastructure in production.
  • Strong experience with Helm, Cilium, and core Kubernetes APIs.
  • Hands-on experience in airgapped or heavily firewalled networks.
  • Proven ability managing self-hosted Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience running stateful workloads in Kubernetes (Elastic, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with container networking and zero-trust principles.
  • Experience with IaC tools (Pulumi, ArgoCD, etc.).
  • Azure/AKS experience is a strong plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD IL5/IL6.
  • Experience with SBOMs, container scanning, and supply chain hardening.
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools (DataDog) and eBPF-based monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters using Helm, Cilium, and other CNCF tools.
  • Operate and troubleshoot clusters in tightly controlled, airgapped, and regulated environments.
  • Support customers deploying GovDash in their own Kubernetes infrastructure (beyond EKS/AKS/GKE).
  • Deploy and operate stateful services in Kubernetes, including Elastic Cloud for Kubernetes and CloudNativePG.
  • Support hardened containers on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Automate infrastructure with GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, policy enforcement, logging, and observability.
