About the position

The Software Engineer in Test will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining automated tests and in-house software utilities. This role emphasizes adherence to software engineering best practices and collaboration with technical resources to enhance processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and in-house software utilities.
• Adhere to established software engineering best practices and standards.
• Collaborate with other technical resources to suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
• Design and develop automated tests and/or software tools.
• Understand requirements and identify opportunities to improve maintainability of the automation platform.
• Apply test-driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities developed by self and others.
• Deliver accurate and maintainable code for test automation and software utilities.

Requirements

• BS/BA or equivalent education or experience.
• 3+ years of software product experience working on commercially available software and experience in test automation.
• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Hands-on experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks like Selenium (TestNG)/Cucumber.
• Strong knowledge of a programming language such as Java or JavaScript.
• Good understanding of web services testing and familiarity with RestAssured.
• Good understanding of Jenkins as a CI Tool and configuration.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Highly collaborative individual with the ability to influence others and build strong partner relationships internally and externally.
• Hands-on experience driving the innovation process from end-to-end.
• Background in a DevOps environment is preferred.
