About The Position

As a Test Engineer II, you will independently design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated tests to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will contribute to test planning, develop detailed test cases, and identify, report, and track defects. With a deeper understanding of TE processes, you'll work closely with developers and product teams to troubleshoot issues, enhance testing methodologies, and continuously improve test coverage across applications, maximizing testing efficiency through automation. This role offers growth opportunities to further refine your technical expertise and contribute to complex testing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of industry experience, independently working on small to medium sized projects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose solutions.
  • Experience with automation scripting using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
  • Strong experience with API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to apply domain knowledge to enhance testing relevance and effectiveness.
  • Proficient in managing defects using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with various testing methodologies including automated, functional, regression, and UAT.
  • Attention to detail to identify complex defects and discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive and reproducible test cases based on complex requirements and execute them independently.
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing to minimize production defects.
  • Create test cases, test results, and bug reports, ensuring documentation is up to date.
  • Work closely with TPM/engineers to clarify product requirements and provide feedback.
  • Mentor junior team members on test design, execution, and best practices.
  • Identify obstacles impacting testing progress and collaborate with team members to resolve them.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of test cases to ensure they are comprehensive and aligned with requirements.
  • Track testing metrics and analyze results to assess testing effectiveness.
  • Expand automation knowledge and take ownership of automated tests.
