About The Position

Position Summary... What you'll do... We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Position: Software Engineer III Job Location: 1375 Crossman Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 Duties: Design, develop, and support “Promise and Sourcing Engine” for multiple tenants of Walmart. Develop complex and scalable software features that calculate delivery dates accurately across all front-end pages on Walmart site. Develop sourcing solutions that adhere to the promised dates to customer. Design and develop optimization solutions that help reduce shipment costs to Walmart. Optimize and scale existing features to meet the rising customer demand. Setup monitoring and alerting system to monitor infrastructure running software for the complete Promise and Sourcing platform. Debug, analyze, and fix performance degradation issues as and when they appear. Maintain the automated software test suite for all new software features and enhancements. Lead new feature software development projects from investigation to design to production implementation and maintenance. Provide operational support for special sale events including console events and holiday events.

Requirements

  • Experience developing back-end applications using object-oriented programming languages including Python and Java.
  • Experience using data storage technologies including MySQL, Cassandra and Cosmos.
  • Experience with development tools including Eclipse and IntelliJ.
  • Experience with code version tool GitHub.
  • Experience working on data stream technology Kafka.
  • Experience with Scrum methodology.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

  • The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
