The Software Engineer III will lead the delivery of scoped features and services through collaborative teams, ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives. Strong technical judgment, effective communication, and a product-driven mindset are essential to translate complex requirements into scalable, maintainable systems that enhance customer and business outcomes. About the team: Our team develops the UI/UX of the TV, focusing on innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. As a Software Engineer III, you will help shape the technology roadmap and advance Walmart's mission to deliver value and quality at scale. The team applies expertise in software development, solution design, and testing to build reliable products that meet business and technical requirements. Continuous improvement and operational excellence are central to our approach, ensuring seamless experiences for users worldwide.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years of professional software development experience, with consumer electronics experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with a modern UI/UX Framework React , React Native, Angular, or Svelte.
  • Proven ability to deliver test automation through collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Skilled in code review, debugging, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
  • Experience integrating Al/ML components and leveraging generative Al tools to enhance code quality.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with embedded software system is a plus.
  • Experience with some form of OOP in software development with proficiency in languages such as Python and C++ is a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of features and components through collaboration with engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives.
  • Integrate Al/ML components and leverage generative Al tools to enhance the software quality.
  • Participate in root cause and test escape analysis to insure fewer future defects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor application performance, support CI/CD pipelines, and drive continuous improvement in software delivery and reliability.
  • Mentor peers, share knowledge, and promote engineering excellence within the team.
