Requirements

  • Strong experience in Mainframe technologies and enterprise-level engineering.
  • Proficiency in system architecture and design, especially in cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
  • Deep understanding of Omni Fulfillment and how fulfillment systems operate.
  • Familiarity with Front-End, Mobile, and legacy technologies.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.
  • Knowledge of scalable, distributed systems and fault-tolerant design.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, Cassandra, Solr, Elastic Search, SQL.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Bash, Spark, and tools like Maven, Git, Jenkins.
  • Strong DevOps skills for troubleshooting, performance tuning, and Linux-based application support.
  • Passion for mentoring and empowering others while continuously learning and adapting.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide small teams of engineers, including offshore associates, by providing documentation, direction, and technical mentorship.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with a focus on ROI and long-term sustainability.
  • Write, test, and deploy high-quality code across various platforms and technologies.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Collaborate with product, project management, UX, and business teams during the discovery and design phases.
  • Support business operations by addressing user concerns, researching solutions, and advising on system enhancements.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to ensure operational support and system reliability.
  • Apply up-to-date software engineering practices to improve development processes and outcomes.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to support the implementation of business solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Walmart’s policies, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
