As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector AIML and Data Platforms team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. This position involves creating automated test cases, managing testing software, and ensuring integration points are covered across various business functions to support the firm's objectives.

  • Creates automated test cases for RESTful APIs using Rest Assured.
  • Works with AWS services to manage testing software.
  • Ensures that automated tests cover integration points between different verticals.
  • Analyzes test results, identifies issues, and works on resolutions.
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience.
  • Experience in automated testing of APIs and UI testing using RestAssured, Selenium or similar technology.
  • Strong programming skill in Python or Java.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in coding in one or more languages.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of databases like Trino, Iceberg, Snowflake and Postgres.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Blazemeter.
