As a Full Stack Engineer III, you will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying Generative AI-powered solutions that improve associate productivity and enable internal teams to create their own AI-driven capabilities. Working within Walmart's Enterprise Business Services organization, you'll contribute to one of Walmart's high-visibility Super Agents initiatives-delivering measurable business impact at massive scale. This role provides the opportunity to grow your technical expertise while building platform services used by millions of associates around the world.

  • Build end-to-end features across backend microservices and frontend user interfaces to support millions of Walmart associates.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, streaming pipelines, and data services that power Generative AI workflows.
  • Improve platform reliability, scalability, and security through robust observability, automation, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver intuitive, associate-focused solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and on-call rotations to ensure production stability.
  • Explore and integrate emerging tools, frameworks, and engineering approaches to enhance platform performance and developer productivity.
  • Strong full stack development experience using Python (FastAPI) or Node.js for backend services and React/Next.js/TypeScript for frontend applications.
  • Proficiency with databases such as OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, SQL/NoSQL systems, and Redis.
  • Hands-on experience with streaming and messaging technologies: Kafka, SSE, WebSocket.
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Solid foundation in infrastructure and containerization tools: Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux-based environments.
  • Knowledge of observability frameworks including OpenTelemetry or OpenCensus for metrics, tracing, and logging.
  • Experience integrating Generative AI systems using protocols like MCP and A2A.
  • Strong Git practices, CI/CD pipeline experience, and a commitment to production reliability-including participation in on-call support.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Experience with React Native for cross-platform mobile development.
  • Exposure to LangChain or LangGraph for natural language interfaces.
  • Understanding of RAG pipelines and vector databases such as Milvus or FAISS.
  • Accessibility knowledge aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms like Grafana, OpenObserve, or Jaeger.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area
