  • Contribute to CI/CD practices, automated testing, and version control for workflow assets.
  • AI‑assisted code generation with tools such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot.
  • Required SW Bootcamp or equivalent and 5+ years of production software development experience, or B.S. in Computer Science and 2+ years of production software development experience, or Master’s and 1+ years of production software development experience
  • Familiarity with standard software development best practices: source code control, unit testing, in‑code documentation, and automated build environments
  • Superior communication skills in a highly diverse cross‑discipline environment
  • Ability to work in an Agile team environment such as Scrum
  • Hands‑on experience with Camunda BPM, including building BPMN and DMN models
  • Experience developing microservices or backend services that integrate with workflow engines
  • Strong experience with REST APIs and event‑driven architectures
  • Experience with SQL relational databases
  • Experience with implementing Camunda External Task Workers or workflow-integrated microservices using Python (preferred) or another modern programming language.
  • Deep experience with Camunda orchestration patterns, job workers, connectors, and external task clients
  • Experience with Camunda Platform 7; familiarity with migration considerations to Camunda Platform 8 is a plus
  • Experience with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with regulated software development environments
  • Experience with Linux applications spread across a hybrid cloud environment (AWS, Azure, collocation facility)
  • Experience with Next‑generation sequencing data or LIMS systems
  • Familiarity with Java and the Camunda Java ecosystem is beneficial for understanding the broader tooling and integration patterns within the platform.
  • Familiarity with UI frameworks (React, Carbon Design System) if supporting workflow‑driven UIs
