The platform connects across multiple checkout methods, ensuring consistent validation regardless of payment type. Designed for resilience and configurability, it continuously evolves through data-driven feedback. Walmart is seeking a Software Engineer III to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions. This role involves analyzing business and technical requirements, implementing coding standards, and ensuring high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing and continuous integration practices. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams to enhance application performance, security, and reliability while supporting agile methodologies. This position requires expertise in software development life cycle processes, coding frameworks, and tools to deliver efficient, maintainable, and secure software components aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in software design and development using Java, React.js, and Spring Framework within Agile environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, RESTful APIs, and Cosmos and Azure SQL databases to build scalable, high-availability applications.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation scripting, and telemetry implementation to enhance software delivery and monitoring.
  • Ability to analyze functional and non-functional requirements, create user stories, and maintain traceability matrices.
  • Proficiency in defect management, root cause analysis, and regression testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software development life cycle best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions using Agile methodologies.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain high-quality code adhering to coding standards and security policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement RESTful APIs and full stack components.
  • Build automation scripts to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
  • Execute unit and integration testing to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot defects, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain traceability matrices linking requirements, design, and test cases to ensure alignment.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging tools and technologies to enhance development processes.
