About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer II SETA to assist in the research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs, including database maintenance. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as in dynamic, fast-paced team environments. This is a full-time position located at a government facility in Arlington, VA, with occasional telecommuting options.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant environment.
• Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer required.
• Background in engineering, scientific research, or program management.
• Active US Government TS/SCI Clearance required; US Citizenship is necessary to obtain and maintain this clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe PDF.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, plan and conduct research in complex problem areas requiring novel approaches and sophisticated techniques.
• Apply programming concepts and modern software development methodologies (e.g., agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
• Contribute to functional areas including Intelligence and Mission Capabilities, Architecture, Applications, and Mission Integration using advanced techniques and practices.
• Interface with various audiences, including internal and external Government and Military leadership and stakeholders, through effective communication.
