About The Position

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) models, the Azure Core team is expanding to deliver the foundational platform that supports the next generation of AI workloads. We are hiring experienced engineers to join the Host Networking and Hardware Acceleration team, an agile group focused on building reliable and high-performance networking solutions for Microsoft Azure. As a Software Engineer II in this team, you will contribute to Azure host networking infrastructure by designing and deploying agents that integrate hardware and software components to ensure consistent and efficient networking for current and future Azure hosts. You will also develop Network Interface Card (NIC) servicing software to support AI and other Azure workloads at scale. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, low-level programming, operating system (OS) internals, virtualization, large-scale systems, performant design, hardware offloads, and robust testing methodologies. It offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in these areas while working on one of the most impactful services in the world. Requirements

  • Experience in service-oriented architecture.
