Job Description: This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Requirements

  • 5 years of hands-on development experience within an equity brokerage or capital markets environment
  • Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and relational data modeling
  • Solid experience with ETL development and data integration patterns
  • Proficiency in .NET application development
  • Hands-on experience with AutoSys or comparable enterprise scheduling tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience migrating legacy financial systems to vendor platforms
  • Familiarity with commission processing, trade lifecycle, or post-trade systems
  • Prior experience working in large, regulated financial institutions
  • Exposure to vendor integration models (APIs, file-based, messaging)

Responsibilities

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions to migrate a legacy Equity Commission Management platform to a vendor-based system
  • Build and maintain integrations between the vendor platform and upstream/downstream banking systems
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and database logic to support commission calculation, reporting, and controls
  • Write, tune, and maintain complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL components
  • Support application development and integration using .NET technologies
  • Create and maintain batch and scheduling workflows using AutoSys
  • Partner with business, operations, and vendor teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions aligned to business needs
  • Participate in production support, root-cause analysis, and ongoing platform stabilization and enhancement
  • Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and adherence to enterprise development and risk standards
