About The Position

The WCF Insurance Information Technology (IT) department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Software Engineer II. This is a full-time, exempt position that works in our Sandy, Utah Headquarters office. This posting is open to internal and external candidates. Qualifications The most qualified candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and at least two years of work experience (or six years of work experience without a degree) as a programmer or analyst. Thorough knowledge of programming and computer logic skills. Proven ability to understand technical terms and concepts. Action and results-oriented, with ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the manager of applications systems in the design, development, and programming of new complex information systems.
  • Maintain existing information systems.
  • Keep up with emerging technologies to remain technically proficient.
  • Continually improve programming skills, debugging techniques, communication, and customer service.
  • Establish a good working relationship with department users and external customers.
  • Complete assigned processes timely and accurately based on programming standards.
  • Deliver excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Demonstrate effective organization and time-management skills.
