About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team! Specifically, we are looking for an engineer with hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, Hadoop (MapReduce, HDFS), and related technology.

Requirements

Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

Analyze user and system requirements to derive software design and performance specifications, conferring with users, system engineers, and hardware engineers as needed
Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes
Debug existing software, correct defects, and adapt to new hardware or performance improvements
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems and operating environments
Design and implement database interfaces and queries, ranging from simple to complex
Develop and implement algorithms adhering to strict timing, system resource, and interface constraints
Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components, performing quality control on team products
Write, review, and improve software and system documentation and development process standards
Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, data usage, systems flow, and work processes
Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met
Serve as team lead or oversee development teams, ensuring work is completed within the constraints of the applicable software development process
