About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client. Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 6 months Overview Provides designs, specifies information systems solutions, and delivers technical direction in the development of new or existing applications. Serves as a principal application designer for major modifications, leveraging analytical and technical skills to evaluate client requirements and processes. Provides technologically sound solutions and may oversee day-to-day support and special projects.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree with 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Familiarity with application development software, hardware platforms, and productivity/project management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating between applications and business units and delivering solutions that meet project milestones.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of the Bank’s application framework and subject matter expertise in supported systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of applications and integrated systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in teams, multitask, and focus on system-wide projects beyond BAU.
  • Experience with SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, and SAP Fieldglass.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems analysis, design, and development for applications of varying complexity.
  • Serve as a key contributor on complex projects while maintaining a functional understanding of supported applications.
  • Direct and mentor less experienced resources, coordinating development tasks and project milestones.
  • Collaborate with Development, Operations, and Technology teams throughout the SDLC, including testing and debugging.
  • Prepare and review technical and functional specifications, assessments, and project documentation.
  • Recommend and implement new technologies, policies, or processes to improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with risk, regulatory, and internal control standards.
