About The Position

Joining the Growth Team at Erewhon as our Software Engineer II, you’ll be responsible for connecting all business-critical operations and building data and technology features that drive Erewhon’s growth.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related engineering field.
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience building front and backends in JavaScript/TypeScript and NodeJS.
  • Experience with Git and GitLab / GitHub.
  • Experience with common NodeJS libraries / frameworks (e.g. React/React Native, Express, lodash).
  • Experience connecting internal and external systems through various methods (e.g. APIs, SFTP, Webhooks).
  • Experience with SQL based database engines (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Advanced analytical skills with a strong ability to solve complex problems.
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient, with a track record of thriving in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment.
  • Able to efficiently and effectively juggle multiple projects in parallel
  • Willing to work full-time in an office environment in Los Angeles

Nice To Haves

  • A strong DevOps mindset with experience working with automated CI/CD workflows
  • Familiar with Platform Engineering and an interest in building software infrastructure for hybrid (cloud and on-prem) environments
  • Experience working with container and container orchestration tools like Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a core member of our team to enhance existing systems and build new infrastructure, integrations, and features.
  • Work closely alongside our Executive Leadership and various Operations Teams to directly deliver impact to operations and critical systems across our business.
  • Develop custom internal tools to help streamline and optimize workflows for various departments.
  • Write clean and concise code.
  • Modernize our infrastructure with the latest tools and technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
