The Battle Management Software mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. BMS S/w team in Ft. Wayne IN is looking to add a Software Engineer to their development team. We align to the core Agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++, or Ada, or similar.
  • Experience with Scripting languages.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance and under the Learn more and Apply you would have this statement. - Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Nice To Haves

  • Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs.
  • Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps.
  • Potential to travel to customer site (up to 50%) for software build install and test.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems.
  • Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible.
  • Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat and Linux Operating Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site twice a year.
  • Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.
