About The Position

Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape. This role involves completing advanced end-to-end engineering tasks for specific system assignments, including designing, developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, and implementing based on user or system specifications. The individual will also consult with users to determine functional specifications and manage interactions between systems and technical support areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.
  • Two years of programming/development experience.
  • Five years of programming/development experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MERN/MEAN stacks and .NET.
  • Intermediate delivery skills including the ability to estimate accurate timelines for tasks.
  • Demonstrated track record of domain expertise and understanding of technical concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve new issues.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate information clearly and concisely.
  • Intermediate leadership skills with a proven track record of self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions with high accuracy and speed.
  • Perform analysis, assessment, and resolution for defects and incidents of advanced complexity.
  • Work independently to tackle well-scoped and loosely scoped problems.
  • Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
