  • Support vehicle simulations at unprecedented scales to ensure safe product releases by improving the sim/resim cloud framework and applications.
  • Implement Python coding, interact with open source packages and various AWS/GCP services, and analyze bottlenecks that limit scalability or hinder performance.
  • Create benchmarking to identify performance issues and develop dashboards to track and summarize information.
  • Engage with users to improve the framework's intuitiveness and usability based on feedback and observed interactions.
  • Document the framework to make it self-serve for others to extend and answer questions as needed.
  • Contribute to managing and searching logs efficiently, including automating indexing of interesting actors and interactions.
  • Work on metrics to analyze the AV's performance and support the implementation of these metrics as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree, or PhD.
  • Expertise in writing efficient, well-documented, and well-tested Python code.
  • 2+ years' experience writing scalable applications that execute in a cloud or HPC environment.
  • 2+ years' experience writing software that interacts with AWS and/or GCP services.
  • Familiarity with NumPy and scientific programming.
  • Willingness and desire to learn how onboard and offboard components interact and propose solutions for improvement.
  • C++ development experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
