As a Software Engineer II, you'll be responsible for working with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improving the customers' experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives.

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Understand and code basic features, functions and definitions.
  • Implement pre-designed solutions as instructed by team lead following best practices and approved code patterns.
  • Assist in the design (and understands the implementation of) new functionality based on team guidance and standards.
  • Understand the different Charter applicable technical systems and how to utilize them.
  • Assist in fixes to defects raised.
  • Complete assigned tasks within a given timeframe.
  • Submit code for code review and applies feedback.
  • Facilitate testing of software applications.
  • Execute test plans.
  • Participate in triage sessions and debug reported issues.
  • Provide LOE on a capability level.
  • Develop software under limited supervision.
  • Collaborate with other teams, within a feature team, and/or a focus group.
  • Demonstrate awareness of industry security, regulatory and legal compliance considerations.
  • Experience with Database Management Systems - 6 months - 1+ year.
  • Experience in coding, testing and designing software - 6 months to 1+ year.
  • Experience with software development methodologies - 6 months to 1+ year.
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of coding principles.
  • Knowledge of one major programming language/tool.
  • Knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns.
  • Knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development.
  • Knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Understanding of different SDLC processes, particularly Agile and Scrum.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Ability to work under general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
  • C/C++ development Experience.
  • Java Development Experience.
  • Network Engineering Concepts - Nice to have: DHCP, SNMP, SSH, TELNET, ARP, DOCSIS, TR69/TR369, RDK/RDK-B.
  • Groovy/Lua/Python Development Experience - Nice to have.
