About The Position

This Software Engineer - .NET position in HR Support is responsible for providing advanced technical support to data processing systems. Analyzes existing and proposed data processing systems or procedures that improve processing capabilities. Assists the installation of programs and procedures developed in coordination with end user groups. Enhances data processing systems and procedures through system analysis, coding, testing, and other activities that facilitate technical business objectives. May occasionally guide less experienced analysts in the work group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Application software programming OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Application software programming.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with programming languages such as Microsoft .NET (C#); ASP.NET Core; JavaScript; HTML 5; XML; SQL Scripting and Powershell Scripting, Net Core Rest API - WebAPI creation and endpoint creation, HttpClient connectivity, Working knowledge in using Entity framework, C# - Lambda expressions and LINQ, Hosting in IIS, Test driven development like xnuit.Log4net, any other logging framework.
  • Experience in web development technologies using JSON, HTML, razor and CSS preprocessors - MVC or Blazor.
  • PowerShell basics (Good to have).
  • SSIS (Good to Have).
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (like Waterfall and Agile).
  • Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

  • Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs analysis for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
  • Thoroughly tests systems to ensure proper installation of new software, system changes, and overall efficiency. Evaluates and conveys testing results. Performs coding and assists in implementing system modifications and enhancements.
  • Provides technical support by performing coding, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve processing capabilities. Works closely with business units and operation teams to support their business objectives.
  • Utilizes knowledge to develop or install appropriate computer software. Serves as a resource on data processing systems and procedures.
  • Provides 24/7 on-call support via rotation.
