Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, with experience in front-end development and testing using frameworks like React, GraphQL, and FluentUI.
  • Familiarity with accessibility-focused software development patterns and a commitment to inclusive design using web technologies.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot for coding, code review, automated testing, and continuous integration.
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies and adopt solutions from Microsoft or the open-source community.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, communication, continuous learning, and critical thinking skills, with a strong sense of customer empathy.
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies and a passion for using AI to improve team collaboration, code reliability, and customer outcomes.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • BS Degree in CS, related engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience on front-end development will be a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain front-end web framework features using JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Contribute to UX performance and front-end maintainability improvements by profiling, debugging, and implementing scoped fixes in collaboration with partners across engineering, design, and product.
  • Approach problems with an AI-first (agent/skills-first) development mindset using tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to accelerate investigation, implementation planning, and iteration toward clean, reviewable pull requests, while maintaining engineering rigor through testing, telemetry/monitoring, and code review.
  • Invest in the growth of an inclusive and capable environment by collaborating respectfully and constructively with teammates.
