About The Position

As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell Intelligrated, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications for warehouse automation solutions. You will work on a variety of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that optimize distribution and fulfillment operations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact on improving efficiency, productivity, and safety in the warehouse industry. You will report directly to our Aftermarket Loop Sorter Engineering Supervisor and you'll work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid work schedule. Onboarding will be done onsite Mason, OH to receive premier hands-on learning with our loop sorter technical SMEs. In this role, you will impact the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications for warehouse automation, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate with other engineers to design and implement software solutions, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot issues. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our warehouse automation solutions and the satisfaction of our customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or related field
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
  • Familiarity with software testing and debugging techniques

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms
  • Experience with Forth software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Hands-on experience with printed circuit boards and familiarity with hardware-software integration
