About The Position

Join a dynamic software engineering team at Resideo that designs and develops mission-critical systems supporting life safety signaling and messaging in a public cloud environment. As a Software Engineer II, you will play a key role in expanding our cloud infrastructure while ensuring its reliability, availability, and disaster recovery. This position offers the opportunity to innovate, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to systems that make a real difference in people’s lives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience
• Working experience utilizing tools such as C# (.NET Core), Java, C++, and/or Python
• Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment, including on-call rotations

Nice To Haves

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with messaging technologies (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Service Bus, IOT-HUB)
• API Development experience
• Working knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Responsibilities

• Work as part of Agile / Scrum team.
• Work with Product owners on estimations.
• Implement scalable, resilient system components.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to maintain high availability.
• Support deployment and integration of new features and updates.
• Provide Level 3 support for cloud-based life safety systems, ensuring 24x7x365 availability.
