Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. We are looking for an Entry Level Software Engineer to join our dynamic software development team in Tucson, Arizona. The duties performed in this position include developing user interface screens for the EAGLE toolset, creating RESTful API endpoints, and translating user requirements into new software solutions. The employee will work with customers and team members to troubleshoot and solve problems, develop new features and capabilities, and automate business processes. Occasionally the employee will assist with system documentation, legacy data conversion, and testing. The Enhanced Automated Graphical Logistics Environment (EAGLE) commercial software application is used to development product support solutions by our global customer base. This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field
  • Experience developing web applications
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, or C#
  • Experience with relational database management systems
  • Knowledge of design patterns, data structures and algorithms
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery and web page development frameworks
  • Experience with the .Net Ecosystem, ASP.NET(Core) and Entity Framework
  • Experience with API development and RESTful services
  • AGILE Software Development Experience

Responsibilities

  • Windows programming using Microsoft Visual Studio - C# and/or C++
  • Participating on the EPS AGILE Scrum team
  • Creating well designed and usable software
