As an engineer on our team, you will be involved in the development of state-of-the-art communications systems by implementing embedded software communications protocols, security mechanisms, encryption algorithms, and/or platform software for our sophisticated software defined radios that enable pilots and soldiers to transfer data, voice, and imagery over the air. We do a lot of work in C++, C, Python, and embedded Linux so an understanding of these areas will help the candidate come up to speed quickly. Candidates are also required to have excellent communication skills to communicate technical issues and status in both written and oral form to customers. The candidate must be adaptable to change, determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Experience developing software in a Linux build environment
Experience developing software for real-time operating systems
Experience developing software using the C or C++ languages
Experience working in a full software development life cycle
Experience developing and deploying software using containers
Experience with multi-threaded software development
Experience with agile software development processes

Responsibilities

Software development and integration role on multi-threaded embedded C and C++ product software code bases
Support the design and development of embedded software solutions and communications products
Support project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution, and certification support
